The Application
The customer wanted a high-speed weighing solution to check that the bars were the proper weight by a MID Directive and for compliance with packaged goods regulation. The products used were the check weigher Flexus (fully customized) with an optional metal detector – Vistus.

The Project Goal and Implementation
This company has been a Minebea Intec customer for many years and was already using the Vistus metal detectors to check different products for metal contamination. Now, the customer required a high-speed checkweigher that was MID-approved and could deliver speeds of around 800 products per minute. Minebea Intec met this challenge by producing a customer-specific version of the incredible check weigher Flexus Combi. The wonderfully developed check weigher is a dual-track solution in which the two tracks support a speed of around 400 pieces per minute. The multi-track engineered-to-order solutions are the ideal fit for the customers, whose products are delivered in two ways and then processed by a check weigher. The two tracks, which can support a belt speed of around 1.5 meters per second, could be configured using a single control unit, enabling separate activation or deactivation of one track. The check weigher Flexus delivers some ultra-precise weighing results with weighing resolutions of around 0.1 g.
